Whether you have a scrappy outline fora memoir or book-length nonfiction MS (or something in between), I can help you figure out what to do next if you’re stuck. Together, we can talk through your project and explore how I might support your work. Typically I start with reading a sample of your writing, then we schedule a phone call to agree on our best way forward.
Whether it’s help with narrative structure, helping your refine your style, or fine-tune scenes and deepen interiority, a big part of my approach is helping writers uncover and refine the “core energy” or “guiding question” at the heart of their project. Coaching you toward this type of clarity not only helps develop and focus your writing practice but also offers a reliable path for revisions as well as things like grant applications.

About me: My writing has been consistently shortlisted for reputable writing contests and I’ve had success securing two writing grants from the Canada Council for the Arts for my memoir-in-progress (2021/22 and 2025/26). I’m a grad of SFU’s The Writer’s Studio and hold a Master’s in Publishing and a BA in English Literature. I am also an active member and volunteer with the Creative Nonfiction Collective (CNFC) and the Federation of BC Writers (FBCW) and am part of a long-standing writing group of TWS alums, all of which keeps me acquiring new knowledge and approaches to writing that I want to pass onto others.
