Višnja Milidragović** is a proud third-culture kid and an emerging writer currently completing her first book, supported by a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts for emerging artists and a Long-Form Mentorship from Diaspora Dialogues. Almost Here: a memoir of (be)longing traces her search for home as a Yugoslav refugee growing up in Vancouver, BC and venturing out to new worlds and old.

Her work has appeared in untethered, fig:ment, and SAD mag, and her submissions have been repeatedly shortlisted by leading lit journals, including The Malahat Review, EVENT Magazine, and The Humber Literary Review. She is a graduate of SFU's The Writer's Studio and has a Master’s in Publishing and a BA in English Literature.
